Cheap Travel!

Have you ever arrived at a holiday resort and found that other guests seem to have paid less for their package holiday or accommodation than you have done? This can be an annoying situation for those of us who like to get value for money.

Why should we pay more for exactly the same holiday experience? If you do find yourself in this situation then it's likely that you're not going about making your holiday bookings in the best way possible. Maybe it's time that you started looking at online travel specialists.

Many of us still don't think to use the power of the internet when it comes to booking a flight or holiday. That's a shame because some of the biggest discounts can be found by shopping in this way.

It makes sense that this should be the case too. The internet can be a good source of objective information, allowing us to see how previous customers have rated a particular hotel, resort or holiday company.

That sort of information is much less available in a traditional high street travel agent. That's not the only advantage that the internet offers here. You'll also have access to a wider range of deals.

Those high street shops all cost money to maintain too. That helps to explain why cheaper deals will often be found online.

If you've not previously thought about booking in this way then why not check out the latest deals available from online travel agents, such as Expedia and Alpha Rooms. These companies have a lot of experience in offering high quality travel experiences.

By seeking out the cheapest deals, you can make sure that you really are getting value for money.

There's no excuse to arrive at a resort and found that you've paid more than other people!

Affordable Travel

There are plenty of ways to travel cheap during a financial recession, even one as severe as this one. All you need is to save up to travel affordably, and that's difficult, but it certaintly isn't impossible.
It's very important that you pick your travel destinations very carefully. Travelling to some places is easier than others depending on a huge array of factors such as the currency exchange rate.
Tim Ferriss, author of the Four Hour Work Week, suggests living in other places in mini-retirements. Instead of staying in a hotel, you rent an apartment. He suggests many locations in which your rent will be very similar to what it is in the states. For example, he suggests that cheap travel to Berlin is extremely possible.
The other aspect of cheap travel is the actual travel part. You need to find cheap airfare to get to where you're going. There are several resources for affordable airfare, including Kayak.com or if you are a student, StudentUniverse.com.
Whichbudget.com is another cheap airfare service that will give you budget airline fares.
If you book your flight dates on Wednesdays, you will get much cheaper airfare rates.
If you travel to a big city in another country, do not rent a car. The town more than likely has a very good public transportation system. Also, try not to get involved in anything that seems suspicious.
If you are not willing to rent somewhere, you could also work for accomodation and do things such are taking care of the land.
There are so many ways to travel affordably, and there are many books and websites that can tell you more. The ones I've mentioned here are a great start to your adventure. Good luck on your affordable dream vacation.
